Bio

Major teaching and research interests include the World Wide Web, information design, information architecture, interface design, knowledge management, and content management. Currently researching the application of XML (DTDs, Schema, XSLT), XHTML, and metadata schemas such as RDF (Semantic Web) and the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative. Has published in The Journal of Business Communication; IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication; The Journal of Business and Technical Communication; Corporate Communications: Theory and Practice; Communication Training and Consulting in Business, Industry and Government, and The Practice of Technical and Scientific Communication. Active in consulting and training nationally for over 25 years; clients range from engineering corporations to nuclear utilities, federal government agencies, and Fortune 500 firms.
