Research Interests

Dr. Trofimov's research interests focus on Russia's relations with the world. He published an article examining the activities of Soviet reporters at the Nuremberg Trial of the Nazi leadership as well as a co-edited collection of documents on Russia in war and revolution. He also contributed articles on the Russian revolution to the ABC-CLIO World History Database and to Hackett Publishers' Blog. Most recently, he co-authored a book on the global impact of the Russian revolution. He is currently working on a book that examines the myths that shaped the Russian revolution.

Consulting/Practice Interests

Dr. Trofimov has provided consulting services to companies specializing in corporate relocation to the countries of the former USSR

Bio

A native of Russia, Leonid Trofimov received his university degree from the Novosibirsk State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004.
