Bio

An expert in L2 acquisition and computer-assisted instruction (CALL), she has designed French multimedia educational software and studied the impact of culture on the application of technologies in business. More recently, she has extended her focus to include an examination of issues of female empowerment and technology (ICTs) in Muslim communities in North Africa;; has chronicled the private lives of Muslim women via a photo-documentary and is recently completed a book, The Tunisian Women's Rights Movement: From Nascent Activism to Influential Power-broking with Tunisian colleague and feminist, Khedija Arfaoui. She has taught in France and Morocco and has been a Fulbright Senior Scholar and frequent presenter at Maghribi conferences.
