Bio
Jon Ericson uses emerging technologies to study human-computer interaction (HCI) and experience design (XD). As a design leader and consultant, his work has earned a mention in Forbes, driven investments, supported a successful startup acquisition, and garnered industry awards. Jon teaches in Bentley’s M.S. in Human Factors in Information Design (HFID) and Information Design & Corporate Communication (IDCC) programs. He regularly serves as an invited reviewer for journals and conferences in multiple fields, and he is currently a member of the editorial board of the Journal of User Experience and Frontiers in Psychology: Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology. Jon's research has been supported by Brown University's Brain Science Program and the NASA RI Space Grant. His interdisciplinary publications span several fields including healthcare communication, spatial cognition, data visualization, and environmental design. Jon's current research interests are at the intersection of depth psychology and technology, 4E cognition, experience design (XD), and complex systems theory.
