
Heather M. Offerman is Assistant Professor of Spanish at Bentley University. She received Ph.D. in 2020 in Hispanic Linguistics from Purdue University, and has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas, as well as an instructor at Davidson College (Davidson, North Carolina) and the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (Nanjing, Jiangsu, China). Her research interests include phonetics and phonology, second language acquisition, computer assisted language learning, second language pronunciation and perception, Heritage Spanish phonology, language attitudes and identy, and sociophonetics. Her teaching interests include beginner and intermediate Spanish, Spanish phonetics and sociophonetics, Spanish for business, and Spanish sociolinguistics.
