Esi Adeborna is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Information Systems department at Bentley University whose research explores enterprise technologies, user engagement, and algorithmic fairness. Her work examines how gamification can enhance user performance in ERP systems and how bias emerges in AI-driven recommender systems, contributing to broader conversations about digital transformation, socio-technical design, and responsible AI.
Prior to academia, She built over 10 years of industry experience in enterprise technology and business process transformation, working with leading global consulting firms including Deloitte and Accenture. Her industry work encompassed process re-engineering, SAP implementation, and finance transformation using S/4HANA and cloud technologies. This foundation enables her to engage with enterprise systems research and pedagogy from a practice-informed perspective.
She received her Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and also holds Master’s degrees in Information Technology and Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. In the classroom, she emphasizes analytical thinking, systems integration, and the human dimensions of technology adoption, while encouraging students to engage critically with emerging digital tools.
