Teaching Interests

Vlahos’ teaching explores dynamic media, motion, graphic design, branding, creative entrepreneurship, designerly thinking, and typography.

Research Interests

Vlahos’ interdisciplinary research explores design studies, communication design, empowerment, community, complexity, dynamic media, motion, sustainability, and creative learning.

Consulting/Practice Interests

Communication design and branding for academia, architecture, and the arts.

Bio

Dan Vlahos is a Boston-based design leader and educator. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at Bentley University and sits on the Board of the AIGA Boston Chapter. Vlahos is also a member of the Boston Society of Printers, Design Management Institute, and was a founding member of Design Museum Boston (now CoDesign Collaborative). His interdisciplinary design work has been recognized by the AIGA, the One Club, Print, How, and the Interactive Media Council.
