Bio

Arthur F. Ream III is a doctoral candidate pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree with a concentration in Higher Education Administration at Northeastern University in Boston. He serves as Assistant Chair and Lecturer in the Department of Computer Information Systems at Bentley University, where he instructs courses in information security, computer forensics, strategic IT alignment, business processes and management, healthcare supply chain systems, and ethical considerations in technology.

With more than two decades of professional experience in information technology, Professor Ream provides thought leadership within the department, contributes to program development and maturity, and actively participates in governance through service on committees—including the Professional Development Advisory Board and the Faculty Affairs Committee.

As a former Director of Deer Brook Consulting, he lead the delivery of innovative technology solutions tailored to government and private sector clients. In this capacity, he specializes in the evaluation and implementation of technological systems, drawing on expertise in logistics, strategic planning, and collaborative project management to address root causes and foster data-informed decision-making.

Previously, in his role as Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Director at Cambridge Health Alliance, Ream oversaw application portfolios and security initiatives, including the development of audit frameworks and comprehensive training programs on HIPAA and HITECH regulatory compliance.

His professional passion centers on bridging the corporate world and academia, bringing over two decades of real-world information technology experience into the classroom at Bentley University across undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs. He is dedicated to enriching theoretical instruction and educational design by injecting practical, industry-derived insights, case studies, and strategic perspectives, thereby preparing students to navigate and lead in complex professional environments with informed, evidence-based decision-making.
