Bio

Sami is a Harold S. Geneen doctoral fellow and lecturer at Bentley University. He currently teaches a course on strategic management as well as a course on business and society. As a corporate governance scholar, his research revolves around board-level and corporate-level strategy, with a focus on the compositional characteristics of boards of directors, investigating the interplay between director tenure, female representation on the board, and firm social and financial performance, exploring how that informs corporate strategy. An additional research question of interest to Sami is the normative impetus for board-level gender diversity from a moral theory perspective. Sami holds a Master’s in Business Administration (2015) and a Bachelor's in Business Administration (2010), both from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He defended his Master’s thesis on corporate social engagement in the Arab Gulf region. Prior to graduate studies, he worked as a business development officer/financial analyst in a real estate development firm based in the Middle East.
