Professor Lowe is a specialist in social media and founder of the Corporate Immersion Institute. The Institute creates corporate immersion classes, provides consulting to start up companies, and runs the Bentley Shark Tank, which brings entrepreneurs and potential investors together. Lowe has worked with over twenty-five companies in his Corporate Immersion classes in the past few years. These include Microsoft, LogMeIn, ShopBuy, Arccos, Apollo Jets, Vida Group, Lenovo, Unum, Lahey International Health, Groove, Swirl, Greater Good, Smart911, Kinematiq, SocialVibe, KickApps, GreatPaths, Sproutel, FreeFi Networks, BuyDomains, SportsMates, Napster, Ruckus, SmartWorlds, NameMedia, CareerPath, Avenue 100, amSTATZ, LifeSimple, Smart Destinations and others. Corporate Immersion courses are trademarked to Bentley University and available at the executive education, graduate, undergraduate, and high school levels to enable students and industry to jointly solve current business problems. Other recent companies include Bloomberg, General Motors, Welch's, HP, Newsweek Magazine, The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The Boston Chamber of Commerce, Toshiba, Sony, Mazda, Dunkin Donuts, McLean Hospital, Fidelity Investments, Sperry Top-Sider, U Foods, Trans-Lux, and numerous start ups.<br>Perry Lowe's applied research has focused on the use of technology to accelerate learning and he is considered a national authority on Tablet PCs. Lowe has also worked closely with Microsoft Corporation on the development and testing of new software and hardware. He has also been a judge at the Microsoft U.S. and International Imagine Cup software development competitions for college students. Lowe helped expand the scope of the competition to include primary market research and a Business Plan to increase the commercialization potential for all participants. His further work in the international arena includes the co-founding of The Consortium for the Study of Virtual Global Collaboration which enables students at the National University of Ireland in Galway, University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Bentley to work collaboratively over the web in cross-cultural and cross-functional project teams. More recently, he was named the co-recipient of the EFMD Excellence in Practice Award at the EFMD Annual Conference in Wiesbaden, Germany for his Corporate Immersion projects and hosted the Bentley University Collaborative Consumption Summit featuring Rachel Botsman, and CEO's from, RelayRides, and RentCycle. His work with SBANE (Small Business Association of New England) includes delivering SBANE Breakfast Series presentations of and participating as a Judge in the Annual SBANE Innovation Awards. . Prior to Bentley, Lowe was a product manager at General Foods and at Gillette and director of marketing for Estee Lauder Cosmetics. His entrepreneurial interests include co-founding Cinema Centers Corporation and Theater Management Services as well as the Lowe Group of Companies, focusing on broadcasting, hospitality and real estate. Among his publication credits are co-editor, The Movie Business, Prentice Hall, 1983; and co-editor, The General Motors Marketing Internship Public Relations Handbook, Sgro Promo Associates, 1996. An expert in the development of long-term relationships between industry and education, Perry Lowe has been quoted in the Financial Times, The New York Times, Boston Globe, Investor's Business Daily, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Entrepreneur, Computerworld and by the Associated Press. His teaching credits include Bentley's Teacher of the Year in 1995, Marketing Professor of the Year in 1997, and Who's Who Among America's Best Teachers Hall of Fame.<br>
