Bio

Danielle Blanch Hartigan, PhD, MPH is social scientist with interdisciplinary research and teaching interests in psychology and public health. Her research, broadly defined, aims to understand how psychological constructs influence the powerful relationship between healthcare providers and patients to foster patient-centered care and to improve patient perceptions of their care. Dr. Blanch Hartigan is a former Cancer Prevention Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. A central focus of her work explores how patient-centered communication and survivorship care planning aid cancer patients in their transition from active treatment to survivorship.
