Bio

Cynthia teaches strategic management and business & society to undergraduates, the leadership and ethics module to MBAs and a doctoral seminar in environmental, social and governance issues. Her research interests concern social and ethical issues in organizations with a particular interest in the effects of the organizational and institutional context on firm behaviors. She serves as the director of the Harold S. Geneen Institute of Corporate Governance, an institute dedicated to educating doctoral students in social, comparative and reformative approaches to governance. Cynthia is a former board member of the International Association of Business & Society and active in the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management and the Society for Business Ethics. Prior to joining Bentley, Cynthia was a member of the faculty at Boston University, following a career in the banking and securities industry. She holds a PhD from the honors program at Boston University and a Master's degree from Northwestern University.
