Bio

Rob A. DeLeo is an Assistant Professor of Global Public Policy at Bentley University. His research interests include public policy theory (problem definition and agenda setting) as well as public health policy, science and technology policy, and environmental policy. Rob examines policymaking in anticipation of potentially catastrophic events. His work challenges the predominant model of policy change, which assumes a linear and reactive process initiated by manifest and identifiable social ills. His work has appeared Risk, Hazards, & Crisis in Public Policy, the Journal of Nanoparticle Research, and conference proceedings. He previously taught at Northeastern University and is a member of the Nanotechnology & Society Research Group at Northeastern.
